Privacy Policy

1. General

At Today Techo, we care about your personal information, so we have prepared this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and share it. This Privacy Policy applies to Today Techo websites, mobile apps, and related services (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree with Today Techo’s collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.  Please note that Today Techo is constantly testing and improving our product features. Any features discussed in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all users or in all jurisdictions.

This Privacy Notice explains how LinkedLumaMind LLC ("Today Techo," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Today Techo website, mobile application, create or manage an account, purchase a subscription, use voice capture, enable backups, or contact us for support.

Today Techo is designed as a local-first, account-scoped productivity application. Your ordinary planner content—including tasks, lists, goals, habits, and journal entries—is stored primarily on your device and is not normally synchronized to Firebase. Limited cloud processing is used for authentication and profile metadata, onboarding and reward status, encrypted iCloud backups, Apple subscriptions, speech recognition, and crash diagnostics.

If you do not agree with this Notice, please do not use Today Techo. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to privacy@todaytecho.com.

2. Scope of This Notice

This Notice applies to the Today Techo website, mobile application and to communications you send directly to us concerning the app. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of Apple, Google, Firebase, your mobile carrier, or other third parties whose services you choose to use.

This Notice describes the current production design reflected in the app’s code-level data inventory as of the effective date. We may update it when the app’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change.

3. Your Information

3.1 Account Information

When you create or use an account, we process information such as your name or username, email address, account identifier, and sign-in method. This information is used to create and authenticate your account, identify the active user, and keep each user’s planner data separate.

Account authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication. If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive limited account information from the provider, such as your name, email address, and account identifier. Apple may provide a private relay email address.

If you register with an email and password, your password is processed by Firebase Authentication. Today Techo does not store your plaintext password.

3.2 Planner Content

Your planner content is primarily stored on your device in an account-specific area of the app. This may include tasks, recurring tasks, lists, goals, habits, journal entries, achievements, preferences, and related information.

This content is not normally synchronized to Firebase. It may be included in your own local or iCloud backups when you use the applicable backup features.

We do not use your planner content information for advertising or profiling.

3.3 App Status and Rewards

We store limited information about your onboarding progress, quest completion, and unlocked rewards so that the app can preserve your progress and avoid repeating completed steps. This information may be stored locally and in your Firebase account profile.

3.4 Voice Input

If you use voice capture, microphone audio is provided to Apple’s speech-recognition services to convert your speech into text. Apple may process the audio on its servers.

Today Techo uses the resulting text to create tasks or list items and does not retain separate audio recordings or transcript files.

3.5 Notifications and Widgets

Today Techo schedules reminders locally through iOS. Depending on your device settings, task information may be visible in notifications, on your lock screen, or through Today Techo widgets.

You can manage notification and display settings through your device.

3.6 Subscription Information

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Today Techo may receive and store limited subscription information needed to provide paid features, such as your plan, subscription status, purchase date, and expiration date.

We do not receive or have access to your full payment-card information.

3.7 Crash and Diagnostic Information

Today Techo uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, diagnose technical problems, and improve app reliability. Crash reporting occurs automatically and may include crash reports, app and device information, operating-system information, installation identifiers, and related diagnostic data.

Crashlytics is not intended to collect the contents of your tasks, lists, or journal entries.

3.8 Support and Communications

If you contact us, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, screenshots, and relevant app or device information.

Please avoid including private journal entries or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for us to respond to your request.

4. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• Create, authenticate, secure, and manage Today Techo accounts;

• Identify active accounts and keep local data separated between users;

• Provide planner, list, goal, habit, journal, reminder, widget, backup, restoration, and subscription features;

• Convert voice input into tasks or list items at your request;

• Remember onboarding progress and unlocked rewards;

• Verify subscription entitlements and unlock paid features;

• Diagnose crashes, repair errors, protect the app, and improve reliability;

• Respond to support requests and administrative communications; and 

• Comply with legal obligations and enforce or defend our legal rights.

We do not use planner or journal content for targeted advertising, sale to data brokers, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Local Storage, Widgets, and Backups

5.1 Local Data

Your planner content is primarily stored on your device within Today Techo’s app storage. Limited task, goal, and habit information may also be available to Today Techo widgets.

Local data is protected by your device’s iOS security controls. Depending on your device settings, some information may be visible through widgets or notification previews.

5.2 Backups

If backups are enabled, they may include your account information and planner content. Today Techo encrypts backup files and associates them with your account.

Local backups are stored within the app’s protected storage. Encrypted iCloud backups are stored in Today Techo’s container within your personal iCloud account and are subject to Apple’s terms, privacy practices, and account settings.

Disabling iCloud backup stops future backups but may not delete backups already stored in iCloud.

6. When and With Whom Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, protect our rights, or complete a business transaction.

We may disclose information to the following recipients:

• Google services, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics, and Google Sign-In, for account authentication, limited account and onboarding storage, and crash diagnostics. Depending on the service used, this may include account information, authentication information, onboarding status, device information, and diagnostic data.

• Apple services, including Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, iCloud, and Apple speech recognition, for authentication, subscription management, encrypted backups, and voice-to-text features. Depending on the feature used, Apple may process account information, subscription information, encrypted backup files, or microphone audio.

• Professional advisers, service providers, and governmental authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud or security incidents, obtain professional advice, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

• A successor or acquiring organization in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

These third parties process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We require service providers handling personal information on our behalf to use it only for the services they provide and to apply appropriate safeguards.

7. Advertising and Tracking

Today Techo does not display third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

The native app does not use browser cookies or collect precise location information. We will update this Notice before introducing materially different advertising or tracking practices.

8. Canadian Users

If you are located in Canada, we generally process your personal information with your knowledge and consent, including when you create an account, enable an optional permission or feature, make a purchase, or contact us.

Consent may be expressed or implied, depending on the nature and sensitivity of the information and applicable law. We may also process information without consent where permitted or required by law.

You may withdraw consent to optional processing by changing your device or app settings or contacting us. Withdrawing consent may prevent certain features from operating.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Today Techo, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Account and profile information is generally retained while your account remains active and for a limited period afterward where reasonably necessary. Planner content stored locally remains on your device until deleted through the app, removed with the app’s data, or otherwise affected by iOS storage behavior.

Local and iCloud backups remain until deleted through the available app, device, or iCloud controls. Deleting your Today Techo account may not automatically delete your local device data or existing iCloud backups.

Apple and Google may retain information they process according to their own terms, settings, and retention practices. When information under our control is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or securely restrict it where reasonably feasible.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information.

Planner content stored on your device is protected by your device and iOS security controls. Today Techo also encrypts local and iCloud backup files and associates them with the applicable account.

No security measure can guarantee complete protection. You are responsible for securing your device, account credentials, Apple Account, notification settings, and iCloud access.

11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information under our control, withdraw consent to optional processing, or receive information about how we handle your personal information.

You may manage microphone, speech-recognition, notification, and iCloud permissions through your device settings. Planner content may be edited or deleted through the app. You may initiate account deletion using the available in-app controls.

Deleting your Today Techo account may not automatically delete planner content stored on your device or backups stored in your personal iCloud account. Those copies may need to be deleted separately through the app, device, or iCloud controls.

To submit a privacy request, contact privacy@todaytecho.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Today Techo does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

12. International Processing

LinkedLumaMind LLC is based in California. Apple, Google, and other service providers may process personal information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Information processed outside your country may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of the jurisdiction in which it is processed.

Your ordinary planner content generally remains on your device or in backups stored within your personal iCloud account.

13. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice to reflect changes to Today Techo, our information practices, service providers, or applicable requirements.

The revised Notice will display an updated effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we may provide additional notice through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method where required.
